Put on a warm suit and get ready! The new Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds map is an icy, snow-filled island, frozen lakes and many loot sites. His name is Vikendi.

Check out our guide and discover the best places to do loot, the riskiest places and the unique vehicles and armaments of this glacial map.

Vikendi

Vikendi is a middle ground between the huge maps of Erangel and Miramar with Sanhok, the little green hell, with 6×6 km area. The creators decided to put the player in a new setting, full of snow, mountains and cities with a very European look, with walls, castles and even a theme park with dinosaurs.

There is a strong tendency to exist much loot with SMGs (such as Micro-Uzi) and fortunately, level 3 helmets and helmets. There is also a widespread lack of Snipers or DMRs. At first sight, Vikendi has a good balance between very complex urban areas and forests, where coverage is scarce and movement is essential. The towns are also balanced in size, there is no giant city, for example, Los Leones in Miramar, but smaller settlements.

Castle

Situated in the middle of a river, with three bridges, this enormous Castle catches the attention of the player immediately. It is probably one of the most dangerous points on the map because of the large number of players jumping there. However, there are many good places to look for and there is good loot in quantity and quality. There are different paths between the battlements, the towers and the roofs of the different structures of the castle and you can use them to gain advantage. Get ready for a wild fight, within walking distance.

Secret Cave

To the northeast of Podvosto or to the west of Peshkova there is a “secret” cave on a hill. To enter the cave you need to break the doors with a vehicle (preferably a car or jeep) at high speed. The cave has two entrances and is full of high quality loot. It seems as far as creators keep the drops before they get on the plane.

Discover how to get into the secret cave!

Goroka

In the northwest corner of the map, you can see Goroka, a town located on the edge of a frozen lake. Goroka is also full of loot and, as might be expected, of players as well. The city is surrounded by ramparts and is situated on a hillside, bordering the entrance. Try to land on that same hill, using the highest terrain for its good visibility.

The buildings of Goroka have many floors and balconies and the streets are tight. Keep your finger on the trigger and proceed very carefully. There are many players who jump into Goroka, such as at the Erangel School, so be prepared to go out in glory or as a corpse.

Abbey

An old abbey in the southwestern part of Vikendi is a loot-filled location of varying levels but there is a good chance of good quality dressings and level 2 vests and helmets. Many players will soon be in the larger (larger church) building parts of the times the cemetery mausoleums have even more loot. Check the graves as well. The only downside of this place is to escape unscathed without being surprised. Just remember that the church windows can not jump.

Double Mesto

A coastal town with decent loot, but depending on the route of the plane, can turn into an intense shooting. It is important to land quickly on the roof of a house and enter through the windows or balconies. The northernmost church is where there is a greater possibility of finding loot, as well as in the buildings surrounding the main square. To the east, across the road, there are some ruined buildings with lots of good loot. If you do not want to enter a deadly fight as soon as you land, try to start there.

Volnova

Probably the largest city in Vikendi, Volnova tends to attract a lot of players, especially when the plane passes by or over. The city remains in the same style as the others, with narrow alleys, buildings with many windows and balconies. But it has the disadvantage of being much more labyrinthine, with streets jammed with broken cars. Look for larger buildings to find better loot. If you have to escape the Zone, it is much better to go around the city.

Cantra and Hot Springs

In the south zone of the map there is a small spa and an abandoned hotel. There is good loot in the different houses and in the hotel, as well as easy access to Castle (Castle) or to the Cement Factory, after being well armed and equipped. It’s an area with few players, but that will certainly change quickly. These two zones have different slopes, with houses and small dwellings placed by all the slope. It is always better to start on the higher ground.

Cement Factory

A huge complex, full of tall extraction towers, buildings, walkways and lots of loot. The best strategy to jump into Cement is to avoid falling into the big chimneys or the towers and reach the central buildings quickly. There are some towers with different levels, which allows you to shoot at distracted enemies from places difficult to detect.

Cosmodrome

A former space exploration center, Cosmodrome has a lot of loot, but it’s well spread out and takes a while for the player to catch it. However, the biggest surprise is the tunnels that exist beneath the complex, allowing a player or team patient to loot quietly without being surprised by snipers. Of course there are other dangers in the tunnels … The launch tower has several surprises, advance with extreme caution.

News: Snow MAP and Footprints

In addition to the usual vehicles, Vikendi has a new addition: a snowmobile. The bike works well in the snow, but glides perfectly on the road, albeit much more slowly. It makes a lot of noise and spends a lot of fuel, at least in our experience with other PUBG vehicles.

In addition to the bike, the creators of the game put the G36C in place of SCAR on that map. It is a very similar weapon to SCAR, although the firing rate is higher at first glance. It does not seem to be suitable for long-distance shooting, even with extras, but the rate of firing at firing seems to result.

Always remember that walking in the snow leaves traces. That is a very nice detail when you are chasing someone, but it is not advantageous when you are the pursued. Try to step out of the snow whenever possible or at least disguise your footprints. Believe me, it’s not that difficult.

Quick Tips

  • The parachute system has been completely altered. There is now greater control of the player in the parachute, as well as greater danger if he jumps in a place with trees, electric poles or other structures. It is possible to “cut” the parachute before touching the ground, but be careful, because doing it too high can make you lose a lot of life.
  • Use the clues you leave in the snow to set up ambushes.
  • Some lakes are frozen. Despite our efforts and a huge amount of bullets thrown in, the ice has not broken, so you can even cross the icy lakes with vehicles.
  • The first zone moves slightly earlier than in other maps, forcing players to pick up the first loot and move earlier. Keep that in mind.
